Our village hall and commrn grounds are saved!

We have good news to share with you all!

Just when we were facing the devastating prospect of having to close the village hall, three amazing neighbours stepped up to save the day.

Please join us in giving a massive thank you to Lindsey, Emma and Tania!

Lindsey has volunteered to step into the role of Chair.

Tania has volunteered to take on the role of Secretary.

Emma has volunteered and is already active as our booking coordinator.

Without their willingness to give their time and energy, the hall would have been forced to close its doors, and our beautiful common grounds would have been left in limbo. Thanks to them, our community hub has a bright future ahead!

What’s Next? 🗳️

While they are going to get some training and handover soon, we will still have to make everything official. We look forward to formally voting them both into their roles at our upcoming meeting in August.

In the meantime please join us and show Your Appreciation! ❤️

It takes a village to keep a village running, and it takes real leadership to step up when it matters most.

At this point also a heartfelt thank you all the other neighbours, who volunteered to join the Green Team and offered their general support!

And of course last bit not least a huge thank you to Andrew, who has been our treasurer for the past two years and is staying on for another year to help the new team!

Lots of love,

Franziska

Happy Beltane ♥️ 🤍

A big thank you to Annie, her daughter Kathy and Claire who helped hang this year's Beltane bunting! The hall looks bright and ready for the festivities. For those new to the area, the Beltane Festiva

That's very good news, Franziska! Many thanks to the new members of the CVA team whom I look forward to meeting in due course, hopefully on 23 August. As an old-timer, involved in the creation of the CVA, I'll be happy to provide background information as well as reflections on lessons learned over the years. If requested, that is. Robert England.
