Community is not just about sharing a space; it is about sharing a table, a conversation, and a bit of ourselves. That is exactly what happens at Meet & Eat every third Tuesday of the month, and it is all thanks to an incredible army of Cardrona volunteers who make the magic happen.

As the CVA, we are immensely proud to support this initiative, but let’s be honest: it would not exist without the amazing villagers who generously give up their time, energy, and skills.

Not only do you bring your incredible skills to the kitchen, but many of you also create these culinary delights using your own money. That level of generosity does not go unnoticed. We see you, we appreciate you, and our tastebuds thank you!

More Than Just a Meal: A Place to Blether & Connect

Meet & Eat is so much more than a lunch club. It is a vibrant hub where people of all ages can come together, escape isolation, and enjoy a good old-fashioned blether.

To ensure that absolutely everyone can join in on the fun, Tweed Wheels has been providing essential transport. Thanks to them, people can reach us from far and wide, making sure no one gets left out.

We also owe a massive shoutout to the Innerleithen Parish Church and the wonderful Ruth Kerr, who keeps the team organised and the hall absolutely buzzing with life.
