Green Team Update

The first signs of spring are already poking their heads up in the planters around the Village Hall – a lovely sight after the winter months!

A special shout-out goes to our brilliant Scouts group, who worked hard planting up some of the flower beds. Your beds are the first to show what lies underneath 👏

Our Green Team is currently 7 people strong and would love to welcome more green-fingered (or green-fingered-in-the-making!) volunteers to join them.

It is a gentle, relaxed, and rewarding way to give something back to the village.

The team is led by Tony, but it is very much a shared effort – everyone is encouraged to bring along their own ideas and inspiration.

There is no pressure or strict schedule either: work is carried out on a when and if basis. People simply do what they can, when they can, and when they feel like it.

At the moment, the team is cooking up an exciting plan to introduce year-round foliage in the planters, to complement the spring bulbs that are already in the ground and keep the village looking colourful throughout the seasons.

If you would like more information or fancy getting involved, please get in touch – we would love to hear from you 🌼

Thanks,

Franziska

PS: Thanks to the Green Team and their willingness to help, we will tidy up the lane between The Green and Govans Way!

They agreed to take this areas under their wing, once it had a good tidy up! Thank you
