With the launch of our digital capabilities, quick wins accomplished and a year full of valuable lessons learned; we're now wanting to shape things to be more efficient and agile in our ways of working - with a view to simplify and ease things for all involved. We've recognised that securing volunteers for various projects has been slower than h

We've been hard at work to improve our communal spaces in the areas that we think truly matter. Within the Hall, key highlights include intuitive Hall WiFi access, overall improved storage, new sanitary and baby changing facilities, overall deep clean of our Hall, and new crockery, mugs and cutlery. Help stop the potholes
🚨 Attention, everyone - pothole alert! 🚧 There’s a significant pothole, right in front of the Cardrona bus stop, that really needs immediate attention. We’ve received reports of people getting sprayed with water while trying to seek shelter from the rain. This is not only uncomfortable but can also be dangerous. If you’ve experienced this issue, please document it and share your concerns. The more voices we have, the more likely we can encourage action to address this probl

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree... 🎄
We’re thrilled to announce a big change this Christmas. The CVA have opted for new plans when sourcing a beautiful Christmas tree to adorn our Village Green this year and have instead arranged for a tree to be planted rather than a temporary felled tree. We have chosen a Norway Spruce due to its stunning shape and lush foliage. Not only is this species known for its resilience, and ability to thrive in our climate, but also boasts excellent needle retention, ensuring that our

Maintaining footpaths between The Green to Govans Way and Cardrona Way to Cardrona Playpark
We’ve been made aware that the footpaths linking The Green to Govan’s Way and Cardrona Way to the eastern side of Cardrona Playpark have become overgrown and are not only an eyesore, but also causing access issues. Looking into this, we recognised the need for something to be done. While these footpaths are not part of our responsibility to maintain, after much consideration we decided that it’s important they’re given a general tidy and cut this year, just before the winter.
