The more eagle-eyed Hall visitors will have spotted the beautiful new tartan and plaque now on display.
This striking turquoise tartan was created as part of the ‘Remembering Together: Scottish Borders’ project which looked to co-create memorials honouring those we sadly lost, mark what has changed and preserve the best of what was learned and created together during the pandemic.
Led by artists Alister Lownie and Katherina RadevaI, the fabric is the result of a co-creation process with individuals across the Borders.
The colours and pattern are intended to reflect the very varied experiences of participants and a desire for the new tartan to become a link between their communities.
