Save Our Village Playground

Hi everyone! As most of you have probably noticed, our little ones' playground area has seen better days. The safety flooring is badly cracked and, despite the council’s best efforts to patch it up numerous times, it is reaching the point where a quick fix just won't cut it anymore.

The Situation

Last year, we looked into a full repair. Unfortunately, the quotes came back much higher than any of us expected. Without specific fundraising and external grants, we simply won't be able to give the kids the park they deserve. Luckily there are some funds available from the Windfarm Grants, but we need your help to apply!

Our Partners at the Council

We want to give a huge shout-out to our local council. They have been amazing throughout this process and are actively in discussions with us to find the best way forward. We are working together, but we need a little extra "people power" to get across the finish line.

We Need Your Help (Yes, YOU!)

The Windmill Fund. This funding could be the key to fixing the park, but we need someone to lead the application process.

• What we need: One individual to apply for this funding on behalf of the village.

• The Commitment: You do not need to join the CVA or volunteer for anything else. This is a standalone project.

• Who are we looking for? Just a neighbour or friend who has a little bit of time and is comfortable filling out an application form.

This is a chance to make a massive difference for the children in our community without a long-term commitment.
