Cardrona cyclists, take note! Police Scotland will be hosting a free Bike Marking and Crime Prevention session at Cardrona Village Hall.
📍 Cardrona Village Hall
🗓️ Sunday, 16 November 2026
🕙 10:00am – 12:00pm
As the popularity of cycling continues to grow across the Borders, so unfortunately does the number of bike thefts.
Bike Marking is a quick, effective way to protect your pride and joy. Officers will add a unique identification code to your frame and register it securely on the national BikeRegister database.
In the event of theft, this greatly improves the likelihood of your bike being traced and returned to you.
Whether you ride mountain, road, e-bike, commuter or kids’ bikes — everyone is welcome.
No booking required.
Simply bring your bike along, and the officers will handle the rest.
They will also be sharing valuable guidance on keeping bikes safe around the village, trailheads, and transport racks.
Let’s work together to help deter bike thieves and keep Cardrona a safe place to cycle.
See you there — and don’t forget your bike!
Thanks,
Marc MacColgan
